🔗 Food Chains — Who Eats What?

📖 Reading Passage

All living things need energy to live. A food chain shows how energy moves from one living thing to another. Producers 🌿 are plants — they make their own food using sunlight. Primary consumers 🐛 are animals that eat plants. Secondary consumers 🦊 are animals that eat other animals. Decomposers 🍄 like worms and fungi break down dead plants and animals, returning nutrients to the soil. Every living thing is part of a food chain — and food chains connect to form food webs!
