📖 Reading Passage

A butterfly goes through four stages — this change is called metamorphosis. First, a mother butterfly lays tiny eggs 🥚 on a leaf. Second, a caterpillar 🐛 hatches and eats leaves to grow bigger. Third, the caterpillar forms a hard shell called a chrysalis 🦪. Inside, it slowly transforms. Fourth, a beautiful adult butterfly 🦋 emerges, spreads its wings, and flies away to find food and lay eggs — then the cycle starts again!
